Paradise Village Resort & Spa: A Complete Review

Updated: Dec 19, 2025

Located about 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta’s international airport, this sprawling beachfront resort is popular with families, snowbirds, and travelers looking for a blend of all-inclusive convenience and condo-style comfort.

Here’s a closer look at what makes Paradise Village stand out and a few things to keep in mind before booking.

First Impressions

Driving into Paradise Village feels more like entering a private community than a resort. Palm-lined avenues, manicured lawns, and the dramatic Mayan-inspired architecture of the main building set the stage. The resort sits right on the wide, sandy Nuevo Vallarta beach, which stretches for miles and is far less crowded than Puerto Vallarta’s hotel zone.

The lobby is airy and welcoming, with open spaces that invite ocean breezes and natural light. It immediately feels relaxed and family-friendly, but still polished.

Accommodations

Paradise Village offers a mix of traditional hotel rooms and condo-style suites with kitchens, living areas, and balconies. Options range from studios to three-bedroom suites, making it flexible for couples, families, or larger groups.

  • Suites with kitchens: A huge perk if you prefer cooking some meals yourself or traveling with kids. Many long-term visitors use this feature.

  • Balconies: Most overlook either the ocean, the marina, or the gardens. Sunset-facing rooms are especially stunning.

  • Comfort: Rooms are spacious, though the décor leans traditional—think tile floors and wicker furniture—rather than ultra-modern.

👉 Tip: If you want modern updates, request one of the renovated units.

Dining Options

Paradise Village operates on both all-inclusive and European plan (room only) models, which is great for flexibility.

  • Tulum Restaurant: The main buffet, offering a variety of international and Mexican dishes.

  • Il Pescatore: An Italian restaurant by the marina, known for pasta and seafood.

  • Kaybal Grill: Casual beachside dining for burgers, tacos, and cocktails.

  • Snack Bars: Multiple poolside and beach bars serving light fare.

Food quality is solid, though seasoned travelers may find it less gourmet than high-end all-inclusive.

👉 While convenient, the all-inclusive plan at Paradise Village may not be the best value. It can be pricey, and we found the dining restrictions limiting. Since the resort has full kitchens in many suites and the surrounding area is filled with excellent restaurants ranging from authentic taco stands to fine dining. Exploring outside the resort not only saves money but also lets you experience the incredible local cuisine and culture.

Amenities & Activities

This is where Paradise Village really shines. The resort is designed to feel like a self-contained community, with something for everyone.

Pools & Beach

  • Multiple pools: Including a large free-form pool with waterfalls, a quieter adults-only pool, and a children’s pool with slides.

  • Beach: Wide, clean, and calm waters—ideal for swimming and water sports. Beach chairs and palapas are plentiful.

Recreation

  • Sports Club: A full-service fitness center, tennis courts, and classes like yoga and spinning.

  • Golf: The El Tigre Golf Course, just a shuttle ride away, is one of the top courses in the region.

  • Kids’ Club: Organized activities and childcare.

  • Wildlife Encounters: Don’t be surprised to see iguanas, peacocks, and parrots wandering the property the kids love it.

  • Palenque Spa offers massages, hydrotherapy, and beauty treatments. It’s tranquil and surprisingly affordable compared to North American spa pricing.

Location & Accessibility

  • Airport: 15–20 minutes away, making transfers easy.

  • Puerto Vallarta: A 25–30 minute drive if you want to explore downtown’s Malecon, nightlife, and restaurants.

  • Marina: Paradise Village’s own marina is home to yachts, fishing charters, and sunset cruises.

  • Family-friendly atmosphere and activities.

  • Gorgeous beach with plenty of space.

  • Wide range of amenities (spa, golf, marina, fitness club).

  • Flexible dining plans (all-inclusive or self-catered).

Cons

  • Décor in some rooms is dated compared to newer resorts.

  • Food is good but not standout compared to luxury all-inclusives.

  • All-inclusive can be costly and restrictive compared to dining off-site.

  • Timeshare sales pitches are common (though easy to decline).

Who It’s Best For

  • Families: Plenty of kid-friendly pools, activities, and space.

  • Couples: Relaxing atmosphere with options for romance, especially with marina or ocean-view rooms.

  • Long-Term Travelers/Snowbirds: The condo-style suites with kitchens make extended stays comfortable.

  • Golfers: Access to El Tigre Golf Course is a major draw.

Final Verdict

Paradise Village is a true gem in Nuevo Vallarta, offering comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. Its spacious accommodations, family-friendly amenities, and beautiful beachfront setting make it perfect for travelers looking to relax, explore, and enjoy quality time together. We had an amazing stay and loved everything the resort has to offer, between the on-site activities and nearby dining and attractions, there’s always something to do. We can’t wait to return!
